Sobambam Hotel opened its doors in 2001 with a simple idea: that a small, family-run hotel could deliver hospitality more thoughtful and personal than any large chain. Twenty-five years later, that same philosophy guides every detail of how we host our guests.
We named it Sobambam because we wanted a name that felt like home — warm, familiar, and unmistakably ours. The tagline followed naturally: So Good, You'll Love It. A promise we've kept for over two decades.
Today, we welcome guests from across Nigeria, the diaspora, and around the world — business travellers, families, oil and gas professionals, weekend visitors discovering the Garden City. They come for one night or for a month. Most of them come back.
Three principles that shape every interaction, every meal, and every night spent under our roof.
Every guest is greeted by name when possible, remembered when they return, and looked after as we'd look after our own family.
We don't shout about our standards — we live them. Clean rooms, hot food, working Wi-Fi, and a kettle that always boils.
We're not a chain. We're a Garden City hotel, run by Garden City people, sourcing locally and celebrating where we come from.
Professionals working with companies in the Trans-Amadi industrial area, oil & gas firms, and Port Harcourt's commercial centre. Reliable Wi-Fi, quiet rooms, and a hot breakfast before your meeting.
Travellers reuniting with family in Rivers State who want comfortable, secure, well-priced accommodation without the corporate feel of a large hotel.
Couples and solo travellers exploring the Garden City — its riverfront, its food, its energy. We're the calm base camp at the end of every full day.
