Developed for difficult‑to‑reach areas and confined spaces. With minimal surface preparation, both maintenance costs and downtime are reduced. After treatment, the metal surface changes to dark anthracite. The Fluid is free of VOCs, solvents and heavy metals, and can be applied using a brush, roller, spraying or floating.

What is nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid?

nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid is a solvent‑free, single‑layer coating designed to passivate corroded metal without blasting. It is ideal for enclosed or hard‑to‑reach areas such as ballast water tanks, peaks, cofferdams and pipelines.

After penetrating the rust layer, the Fluid bonds chemically to the metal surface, creating a durable, dark‑anthracite protective barrier. Only high‑pressure washing (≥500 bar) is required for surface preparation, and it can be applied directly onto dry or damp steel using a brush, roller, airless spray or by floating.

How It Works : Simple 4-Step Process

Surface Preparation

Remove standing water and mud. Remove loose rust flakes and coatings. High‑pressure cleaning (>500 bar, rotating) is recommended.

Application

Apply the Fluid by brush, roller, airless spray or floating onto dry or damp steel surfaces.

Passivation

The product penetrates the rust layer and chemically passivates active corrosion; treated surfaces change to a dark anthracite colour.

Durable Protection

A protective film is formed that provides long‑lasting corrosion protection. Avoid taking in ballast water for 48 hours after treatment.

Loose rust, salt, oil and grease must be removed. Treat surfaces according to the technical specification before applying nC Corrosion Passivator Fluid.
